Tirpude Group: The Hospital is named after Smt. Nimbunabai Tirpude, mother of Late Shri Nasikrao Tirpude, Ex-Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Shri Nasikrao Tirpude always strived for upliftment of the backward classes and was of the opinion that health of economically backward classes should not be neglected in a developing society.Shri Nasikrao Tirpude, Founder of Yugantar Education Society, was determined to honour his mother’s memory by establishing a medical institution that will cater to the masses. This institution was established in 1968 and it commenced working on a small scale. The Hospital was named as Smt. Nimbunabai Tirpude Hospital and Research Centre. Over the years the patients frequenting the hospital increased and the base expanded with a palpable scope for enhanced services and better infrastructure. After Shri Nasikrao Tirpude, the reins of this institution were taken over by Mrs Vanita Tirpude, Working President of Yugantar Education Society. Under her patronage and able guidance the facilities and activities at the hospital grew exponentially. It is her Father in Law’s vision that Mrs Vanita Tirpude is working towards. Providing the desired structure, modern facilities, state-of the-art equipment, expert medical attention, Doctors and staff, etc., are amongst some of the initiatives she undertook for providing better healthcare to the masses and, thereby, the opportunity to better lives for themselves. [changes made to this para] The North Nagpur area is a slum-dominated area and is inhabited mostly by people below poverty line and those belonging to backward communities. The absence of a good medical care facility, particularly for the slum areas around Chalks Colony, was quite pinching. The needy patients had to run to the distant Government hospitals for even minor issues and treatments. Private hospitals were ruled out for these people. It was with this background that founders of Yugantar Education Society, Nagpur, envisioned a hospital with good facilities and decided to render medical services to these residents of North Nagpur, thereby providing relief to them from costly treatment elsewhere.

This conveniently located Hospital on Kamptee Road provides an easy and non-congested access to the needy patients and their families to avail a host of medical services and facilities.
