Tirpude Group: Tirpude Hospital was formed with the idea of serving the medical needs of the impoverished masses residing in the North Nagpur locality. The Hospital is named after Smt. Nimbunabai Tirpude, mother of Late Shri Nasikrao Tirpude, Ex-Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra and founder of the Yugantar Education Society. Shri Nasikrao Tirpude always strived for the upliftment of the backward classes and was of the opinion that health of economically forlorn classes should not be neglected in a developing society. He was determined to honour his mother’s memory by establishing a medical institution that would serve such people in need. Smt. Nimbunabai Tirpude Hospital and Research Centre commenced working in 1968 on a small scale.

After Shri Nasikrao Tirpude, the reins of this institution were taken over by Mrs Vanita Tirpude, Working President of Yugantar Education Society. Under her patronage and able guidance the facilities and activities at the hospital grew exponentially. Over the years the patients frequenting the hospital increased and the base expanded with a palpable scope for enhanced services and better infrastructure. It is her Father in Law’s vision that Mrs Vanita Tirpude is working towards. With the idea of providing better health care Mrs Vanita Tirpude updated the existing structure, installed modern facilities, state-of the-art equipment, expert medical attention, acquired the best Doctors and staff, organising free medical camps etc.. undertook for enabling better healthcare services in that community and, thereby, giving the masses the medical care at their doorstep to better lives for themselves.

Yugantar Education Society would like to continue and serve the people of North Nagpur and their medical needs, through Smt Nimbunabai Tirpude Hospital and Research Centre. Furthermore, to facilitate affordable medical care and free medical camps for the impoverished masses.

Vision: Our Vision

Mission: Our Mission

Purpose: The North Nagpur area is a slum-dominated area and is inhabited mostly by people below poverty line and those belonging to backward communities. The absence of a good medical care facility, particularly for the slum areas around Chalks Colony, was quite pinching. The needy patients had to run to the distant Mayo Hospital and Government Medical College Hospital for even minor issues and treatments. Private hospitals were ruled out for these people due to costly treatments. It was with this background that Yugantar Education Society, Nagpur, envisioned a hospital with good facilities and decided to render medical services to these residents of North Nagpur, thereby providing relief to them from costly treatment elsewhere. This conveniently located Hospital on Kamptee Road provides an easy and non-congested access to the needy patients and their families to avail a host of medical services and facilities.
